The Institute for Teaching Innovation has a role to play in the college’s Title III Grant. We are specifically looking at applying faculty development to improve gateway courses and courses with high CDFW-rates. We have selected the award winning ACUE Affective Teaching Practices Program to serve as a base for our efforts. Each year for the 2021 and 2022 school years, 25 faculty will be selected to participate and will receive a $1K stipend at the end of this training. 5 additional seats are available.
ITI-associated grant goals include assisting with:
- Redesigning 10 gateway courses
- Reducing CDFW rates
- First-to-second year retention
- Persistence to the 3rd year
More information is forthcoming.
