REMINDER:

Per the previous communication sent on 03/18/2020 (attached):

IT IS NOT D’YOUVILLE COLLEGE POLICY TO REMOVE ANY COLLEGE EQUIPMENT OTHER THAN LAPTOPS.  ANY STAFF FORCIBLY REMOVING ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENTS SUCH AS PERIPHERALS, MONITORS, DESKTOPS, PRINTERS, ETC WILL BE SUBJECT TO ADDITIONAL HR MEASURES INCLUDING DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS.

Most users will not need additional access and/or equipment in order to perform their essential job functions.  Additional access needs to be requested and approved through the ticketing systemon a per-case basis.  Per the previous alert found here, the IT Tech Lounge/Helpdesk will be providing extended 24/7 hours of operation to accommodate this transition period.

 

The IT Pulse Center encourages the usage and utilization of cloud-based solutions in lieu of traditional methods (e.g. Microsoft SharePoint and OneDrive vs. Local Server File Shares and Personal/Desktop storage or flash drives) in order to better facilitate this temporary transition and make the most of existing technologies.  Training for these solutions and more can be found on the MyDyouville Information Services Guides Page and through the HR Teleworking Page.

DYC workstations should always be periodically restarted to ensure that operating system, security, and application updates are installed.  To ensure you have the latest updates for applications, please launch and view the approved program updates in Software Center for your Windows or Mac devices.
