Dear D’Youville Community,
With COVID-19 officially listed as a pandemic D’Youville, is committed to making our students, faculty, staff and administrators a top priority. Given that we have taken a significant first step to put in place precautionary social distancing measures by moving instruction online, which will reduce on campus student and faculty traffic to near zero, it is safe to work and you are expected to report to campus as regularly scheduled.
We know that social distancing may also impact us in our personal lives with the potential for school closures and/or transit reductions along with other obstacles. D’Youville is dedicated to supporting our faculty, staff and administrators as we understand circumstances arise due to COVID-19. We are recommending employees work with their manager in utilizing their vacation and/or sick time if needed.
Safety comes first, we are closely monitoring the situation with local, state and federal health agencies, as well as monitoring and reinforcing guidance from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
We also, encourage you to follow usual health precautions such as:
- washing your hands
- social distancing and avoiding interaction with those who are sick
- reducing the frequency of touching your face
- practicing proper cough and sneeze etiquette
- avoiding crowded events
- avoiding non-essential travel
