Following Governor Cuomo’s press conference today, we would like to recap the announcement to inform everyone that there has been no change in our current “Orange Zone” designation. However, please be aware that Buffalo and parts of Erie County were put on warning to potentially become a red zone in the future.
Based on this announcement, classroom instruction can continue as planned, with face-to-face classroom instruction continuing this week followed by remote instruction after the Thanksgiving holiday.
We are currently working to research exactly what a “Red Zone” designation means for higher education so that we are able to provide clear guidance in the event that our zone is re-designated in the future, likely after Thanksgiving.
